Green clay has been used for thousands of years to heal injuries, soothe pain, disinfect wounds, and cleanse and beautify the hair and skin. The green clay used in our hair care products at weDo/ is a natural mineral clay, mined in France. It is naturally composed by three different clays: Illite, Kaolin and Montmorillonite.
Once mined, the green clay is treated mechanically, without the use of chemicals, before then being crushed and dried. Finally, the resulting powder grains are sorted through an innovative and sophisticated process: a selection by induction.
Because of its absorbent properties, weDo/ have found a use for green clay in hair care. The clay is a hero ingredient in our No Plastic Light & Soft Shampoo and is the reason the bar has its light greenish colour. The shampoo bar is ideal for gently cleansing fine hair or normal hair, without weighing it down.
